Mark your calendars for an outstanding
Annual Conference of the Bahá’i Association for Mental Health!
10th Annual BAMH Conference, Santa Cruz, California
Theme Statement: Reflections on Heaven and Earth: The Role of Spirituality in Community Building
A great challenge facing the world today is building authentic community. Bahá’u’llah wrote: “Know ye not why We created you all from the same dust? That no one should exalt himself over the other.” Our aim is explore how to translate this principle into a new way of thinking, feeling and acting, so that we might do our part in becoming one human family.
Mental health is at the crux of this challenge. Our encounters with the pain of oppressed people in a materialistic society fire us with a passion to break down the barriers which keep us in isolation from one another. We seek new competencies as individuals, institutions and communities.
