Since its inception, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Fund has been active throughout Rutherford County by:

• Awarding over $500,000 in academic scholarships to 300 high school seniors

• Sponsoring PALS (Parent Assisted Leadership for Students) (8th Grade)

• Sponsoring the 8th Grade Luncheon for eighth grade honor students

• Holding an annual reception for the scholarship finalists and their parents

• Sponsoring an annual scholarship banquet
